With the release of Lessons, a self-produced full-length album, ATTIC OF LOVE has become one of New York\\\'s premier hard rock/modern metal bands. The group, now based in Southern California, boasts independent CD sales in the tens of thousands.

As for live shows, J. Eric Smith of the Metroland Magazine in Albany, NY, writes, Â"(You) gotta see it to believe it.Â" Don Wilcock (music journalist who writes for many publications including Rolling Stone, and is president of the National Blues Association) wrote that the band Â"explodedÂ" from the stage Â"like flaming red napalm.Â" Â"At once blistering and melodic,Â" says Paul Goldsmith (Adirondack Life, Dec. 2003), Â"their music is a potent, yet refined, take on todayÂ's progressive heavy metal. Combining the surgical brutality of guitar player Drew Gillings and the jackhammer rhythm section of bassist Jim Gould and drummer Mike Speziali with TisbertÂ's soaring vocals, cryptic lyrics and Eastern-influenced flute work, the band exhibits a modern, anything-but-lighthearted sound\\\".

Whether itÂ's 50 or 5,000 people in the crowd, Attic of LoveÂ's shows are intense, passionate and compelling. This ultimately propelled them to an opening slot at The Saratoga Performing Arts Center on a leg of Â"THE POP DISASTER TOURÂ" for headliners Green Day, Blink 182 and COLD. The show attracted 14,000 people.

Attic of Love is a band breaking out of the box that defines todayÂ's music scene. Their sound is unmistakable and very much their own.
