The Worsties consists of 2 members, Jesse and Anna, who met in the summer of 2003. At that time, both members were in separate bands. Jesse was residing in Indiana touring with the alternative rock band Blue Star Highway, and Anna was helping Good Life Cycle make a name for themselves in Southern Florida. When both bands disbanded, Anna and Jesse decided to write some material together on a whim. What resulted was a beautiful blend of male/female harmonies over pure guitar tones. Eventually, the duo recorded their 1st LP entitled \\\"Salinas\\\" with the help of local recording artist Keith Conner. The Worsties, a name that derived from their shared last name, Worstell, describe themselves as a perfect blend of male/female vocal arrangements with just the right amount of dissonant guitar ambience. Many similarities have been made to Over the Rhine, Portishead, Madder Rose, PJ Harvey, and many others. Stay tuned to this site for updates, news, and tour dates.
