Bloodshot Pyramid is a newly formed progressive hard-rock band rising in the amazing Austin music scene. Pulled together by members of the shattered remains of San MarcosÂ' Rebecca Creek Band and Newborn Trance, fans have been pleased with the experimental direction within the four-piece group. With the single goal of rocking as hard as humanly possible, Alan Houston on bass, Michael McLeod on guitar, Aron Williams on vocals, and Elliot Mitchell on drums are compelling listeners to turn their ears, rock their heads, and order that next beer.
Spending the better part of the 2006 fall months recording their debut 5-song EP, Butterflies of Doom, with producer/engineer David Glass, Bloodshot Pyramid is anxiously awaiting its release scheduled for the end of January, 2007. Upon the release of the EP, Bloodshot Pyramid plans to continue performing anywhere and as often as possible, building their impressive gigography and spreading the good message of the holy rock.
Bloodshot Pyramid was formed in January 2006 in the college town 30 miles south of Austin named San Marcos. Meeting in that dynamic music environment, the guys began talk of a super group that would rip everyoneÂ's face off once the ear laid listen. Music is certainly no stranger to the band members. Michael graduated from Texas State University with a bachelorÂ's degree in classical guitar, Elliot attended Berklee College of Music in Boston, and Alan and Aron have several years of experience performing live in the scene. In the short year they have been together, Bloodshot Pyramid has played countless shows in the central Texas area, recently expanding its playground to include Houston and Ft. Worth. Playing with bands of all genres, sizes, and popularity, Bloodshot Pyramid has been fortunate to share the stage with acts such as the Burden Brothers.
As we anxiously wait to see the future of Bloodshot Pyramid in 2007 with the release of their debut recording and continued grueling gigging, go embrace their love and check out one of the many energy driven rock shows. Show to show and face to face, Bloodshot Pyramid aims to force their audience to get up, get crazy and rock out; and of course, drinkÂ…drink a lot.
