QUICK BIO

Blowing Trees is an alternative indie rock band from San Antonio Texas. They are known for their energetic live shows filled with psychedelic soundscapes and poetic lyrics that create an intimate and moving experience. The band was signed after a show in the rain during SXSW in 2007 to GLASSNOTE RECORDS out of New York City. Label head Daniel Glass is known for working with artists such as Warren Zevon, Billy Idol and most recently Phoenix. The record was produced by Dave Castell who has worked with Texas favorites The Toadies. Blowing Trees self titled debut was released early 2008 by Glassnote Records/Sony Red and received much high praise from places like BILLBOARD who called the album “A hook laden 12 track journey that swirls between psychedelic and anthemic.” The first single “The Day the World Left Me” was debuted on Matt Pinfield’s Sirius radio show and is still played on Sirius and XM radio. The band has traveled to New York and played on KROCK radio, XM radio, and played for MTV, MUCH MUSIC, BILLBOARD, and could be found wandering around central park searching for Strawberry Fields.

The video for “The Day the World Left Me” was filmed in Savannah Georgia, one of the countries most haunted cities. It can be found just about anywhere including MTV and Vh1.com. They have toured the south a few times over including a stop at D-FEST in Tulsa, and most recently opened for Buddy Guy and The Allman Brothers at WANEE FEST. in Florida. There is a new video for their song “Goblins” filmed in Austin by Lucky Rabbit Films that perfectly captures the bands aesthetic. They are currently hard at work on two separate records in their “Tree house”.
