QUICK BIO

Camera's roots trace back to a couple of friends jamming together in Fresno, California for a few years. Those friends, Beak Sidhu and Joel Lopicollo, started playing together in 1997 and after many lineup changes ended up recruiting a highly qualified guitarist named Robert Collier who was soon nicknamed,"Cracky." Cracky's addition to the group finally completed the band and the singer-less trio named themselves Camera in 2001. After countless vocalist auditions, the band turned to their good friend Mark Chavez (former Adema lead singer) for help in finding a frontman that truly represented their diverse and unique sound. Marky recommended Kevin Haviv who was working for Howard Benson (Cold/Adema) at Bay 7 Studios at the time. Kevin was asked to sing on a purely instrumental demo, which was an opportunity he eagerly seized. Kevin brainstormed lyrics and recorded some material which was unpolished but impressive enough to bring the band all the way out to L.A for serious rehearsals. The final demo version was recorded in late December of 2003 at Jonathan Davis' home studio through a demo deal with Arista Records. After the label dropped it's only two rock acts (From Zero and Adema) as well as reporting financial losses, the president of Arista moved to Island Def Jam and business relations with that label were terminated. Aftera brief hiatus, the band is back and is being shopped to Sony. The band is ready to rock your face into submission, so look for them in a town near you!
