QUICK BIO

Many people have asked the question - how did the rock band Condition Of Sale form? Well, primordial soup and the theory of evolution notwithstanding, Condition Of Sale were formed in a manner similar to all the great bands; through the hand of fate and application of booze.

Robert Fourman arrived in Austin, TX in March 2004. It is rumoured that he had left the UK after working for the Secret Service, but these rumours would be neither confirmed or denied by the British authorities. What we do know is that Robert was also a guitarist extraodinairre and that he liked his rock n' roll like his drinks - dirty and intoxicating. Frustrated with the lack of an equal in this city, his drinking spiralled out of control to curb the flow of the songs building up in his head.

It just so happened that one day in a particularly violent pool match, he ran into the one person who complimented his taste in music and vision for a band so loud it would make a deaf person wince - the notorious hustler known only as Stevenly. Stevenly played bass and pool with a fervour considered by many in Austin to border on the insane. A wild man of passion and yet a connoisseur of the arts and fine wine, Stevenly was a walking contradiction. Robert saw potential in him. They began to talk; the gears fell into place one by one.

After a protracted drinking session, the two had a pile of songs building up on paper instead of inside their heads. It was a relief to both of them to finally have an outlet. But there was one remaining hole in their tapestry of rock - a drummer who could follow the wild current their boat was sailing. But who would be able to keep up with these wild men?

Many answered the call to arms, but all failed in the trials. All, that is, until Ken Culton. Ken, a New York City outcast, arrived in TX looking for a gig. His calm demeanor, PhD and sobriety covered a deeper layer of boiling intensity. Nobody could match his abilities or his drive and he fit the drummer slot to a T. Each beat registered a 9 on the Richter Scale. He was in.

Now at full strength, Condition Of Sale are ready to begin anew their assault on the Stalingrad of the music industry. There will be no quarter given, no prisoners taken and nobody left standing at the end.

You have been warned.
