jared and marcus fernandez began writing songs together in 1999 and officially formed emporium in 2001. although they grew up in the houston-galveston area(DICKINSON), emporium is a san antonio-based band. multiple lineup changes have crippled their consistency, but the steadfast creative core has never wavered. with the current lineup rounded out by jose mercado and eric puente, emporium released their first full-length cd (severed sunshine)in october 2006.
