Music For Animals began at a small sweaty show at the Edinburgh Castle in 2006 when MFA first showcased material written by the band as a whole. Before that the band had been learning to play together and mainly backing singer Jayson Martinovich and his solo material. The band has since taken a collective approach to songwriting and never looked back. After 3 releases, 4 national tours, tons of play on college radio, Music For Animals new EP "If Looks Could Kill" has been picked up by some of the biggest stations on the west coast and allowed them the opportunity to play at the 2009 BFD and open up for the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, 311 and the Offspring. Heading into the Fall of 2009 with a brand new music video for "If Looks Could Kill", a new album on the horizon and a west coast tour, it looks like these guys are just getting started.
