openrivers is a one man project from berlin.
ambient noises, rhythmic patterns, beats and simple saxophone and guitar melodies meld into music.

openrivers opens the mind in many ways.
it is rhythm-based filmmusic and dancemusic, music for journeys as well as music to make you move in any thinkable way. the different influences of openrivers are feelable but not obvious.
you have to dive into it and you won´t regret being taken by it.

The Berlin-based musician Gunnar Gentzsch has a jazz-background, but started to get in touch with the experimental electronic scene several years ago.
Inspired by this he combined his sax-sound with trance-like atmospheres. This results in filmic moments, reminding of lonely nights, while enjoying a good glass of wine. The music floats, but the beat contains enough backbone to keep the listener's attention. The sax is sad and slightly melodramatic, nevertheless virtuous enough.
The debut CDR proves that two confronting styles can go together very well, even if it's hardly done before. Very original release!
