Sam James is a singer-songwriter rising to prominence in the alternative folk-rock scene. Inspired by such masters as Bob Dylan, Dave Matthews, John Mayer and David Wilcox, James writes and performs his own songs on guitar and piano. Now at age nineteen, Sam is touring extensively at colleges and venues nationally with his band. In fact, many of his songs were written at the airport on his way to or from a gig. "Unanswered Letter," "CominÂ' Back Home," and "The Choice is Gone" capture the essence of being young and learning to master powerful emotions. More introspective songs like "Scream" and "Your Smile" emphasize universal heartaches and pain. "My songs are my life," says James. "They are a reflection of my memory and the ups and downs I have experienced.
