Fueled By Ramen’s pop punk darling, Cobra Starship, recently released their third album entitled Hot Mess. They are already getting radio play around the country with their first single off Hot Mess, “Good Girls Go Bad” featuring Gossip girl actress Leighton Meester. Does Hot Mess live up to the hype of the smash first single? I wondered the answer to that myself before listening to it all the way through. That’s a lot to live up to.

Austin’s The Riverboat Gamblers have been a punk rock staple on the Red River scene in Austin for a few years now. I always enjoyed their shows at Red 7 and their music was pretty intense. Not long after my first Riverboat Gamblers show, I heard them on one of my Madden video games. I just knew bigger things were on the brink for them. I figured since I went to a show at Emo's tonight, I'd share my thoughts with the world.  I saw the flyer for this show on a myspace bulletin from Cruiserweight, a band that has been around since I was 19. As much as I enjoy Cruiserweight, I went specifically for Dynamite Boy. They broke up a couple years ago, so I was stoked about their reunion show.
