Uncle Nestor combines a raw rock sound with a country-inspired twang. The music has been described as Â"a heavier Blue RodeoÂ" and as Â"country-punkÂ".

Singer/guitarist Oless Pasichnyk delivers soulful baritone vocals while bassist Steve Halfnights adds sweet-sounding harmonies. OlessÂ' signature guitar tone is raw and gritty. Back in the engine room, drummer Chris Waldner drives the bus with heavy hands and groovy beats to go with SteveÂ's tasty bass lines.

The debut album, Back In Town, is available now. Uncle NestorÂ's first single, Â"Woman Like the WindÂ", is currently in regular rotation on MuchMoreMusic in Canada and the band is set for a break-out year in 2006.
